NWP Provides Compost To Ulster Wildlife

Community Wilding Garden at Bog Meadows Nature Reserve - Ulster Wildlife.

“We want to give a huge thank you to New Leaf Compost, who have very kindly donated a significant amount of peat-free compost made from green waste to the project.

Their donation has been used in the raised beds and the planned perennial beds around the wildlife garden. We also want to thank Sharon McMaster for her very helpful advice on using the compost!

Going peat-free is one of the best ways to protect our peatlands, which are both amazing wildlife habitats and incredibly valuable carbon stores.

The community wildlife garden at Bog Meadows is being created as part of the Our People Our Places project, thanks to a grant from The National Lottery Community Fund Northern Ireland. The garden will showcase how wildlife gardening can improve biodiversity and will provide an enriching and beautiful space for people to enjoy.”
